International experience: Operating in different energy markets has allowed us to develop and refine a diverse portfolio of offerings, including grid-tied and hybrid energy solutions. Our sustainability journey

Sustainability is not about perfection, it’s about progress. As unwavering advocates of the benefits of renewable energy, RenEnergy is on its own sustainability journey. Being on a sustainability journey means that we actively take steps to reduce our impact on the environment and society. At both our offices, in the UK and in South Africa, we use renewable energy sources. The RenEnergy Africa office on the Spier Wine Estate is predominantly powered by renewable technologies, including single and dual axis trackers. We are in the process of establishing our baseline greenhouse gas emissions and setting science-based targets towards net zero. It’s a process of adapting and making conscious decisions that positively affect our planet and society.

We work in a rapidly evolving industry and we provide our people with varied opportunities for growth and development, enabling them to be at the forefront of innovation. Together, we have decades of experience in commercial solar PV, including solar carports, energy storage and electric vehicle chargers. We have a culture of trust, respect and integrity - towards one another and with our clients. On average, we spend 4,000 man hours a week installing solar generation and storage solutions!

Claude Peters

Managing Director Africa
Claude is an accomplished director and experienced shareholder of commercial entities in both South Africa and the United Kingdom. Drawing from a wide scope of leadership and business development experience, Claude’s focus remains the continued and sustainable development of RenEnergy as a market leader. He is a keen outdoorsman with a deep appreciation of our natural environment.
Juandré Pitout

Sales and Business Development Manager
Juandré is a business development leader with the demonstrated ability to create opportunities for growth in a business and improving profitability. Having worked on hundreds of solutions, he has developed robust technical knowledge that directly benefits our clients, as he recommends client-focused, market-leading solutions. He is a multi-facetted leader and he holds various leadership and management qualifications. He enjoys a round of golf after work or on weekends.
Raphaël Devantier

Chief Operating Officer
Raphaël is an experienced director and business manager across multiple industries within South and East Africa, specialising in strategy development and implementation. Educated in business management, business analysis and data science, he is passionate about sustainable change for real people, hence his deep interest in renewable energy. He enjoys wildlife, fresh water fly fishing and birdwatching, keeping the office informed of local bird life names and habits.
Damian Baker

Managing Director UK
Damian is the founder of RenEnergy. With his abundant knowledge of renewables, Damian is the key driver behind business development, co-founding RenEnergy Africa in 2012 to tackle the unique challenges and learning curves presented by that market. Damian is a keen tennis player and music fan, attending Glastonbury more times than he cares to remember.
